Schrader Valve - Fuel Rail

my schrader valve has begun to leak(88' TPI). where can i get a replacement valve core for the schrader valve on the fuel rail. i went to the dealer today and told me the part has been discontinued????? where can i get a fuel rail schrader valve? or what are they called under the auto parts computers? they couldn't find it??? thanks alot.

might have to replace the whole line, i doubt if part stores have them, or try junk yards. i had problem buying fuel line o rings for a ford, had to buy the line to get the o rings, at least that's what i was told. i think i may of had an inept parts man. i went to gm parts and bought the o rings a nd the ford never knew the differance. you might want to check ford or dodge parts, i'd damn near bet the valve is the same.

you might try your local autoparts store as well. I think that they might stock those vavle in the help section. If not I would try another dealer who may have one sittng on a shelf. If they don't have one ask if another year or car uses the same part.

Try a core from a refrigeration service valve. They are rated for oils and solvents, and for a lot higher pressure than your fuel system can produce.

Be prepared to spend a whole dollar to get one.
