Are valve springs supposed to be able to turn when there is either the exhaust or intake open? Don't sound right does it. my valve springs turn, and on the passenger side head #6 valve spring and rocker looks black. Motor is real hard to start and had no rpm, and idles misses kinda ruff. This is something else once I did my valves the right way, after I got every thing put back together it started right up and had nice HP and the engine was running good. And that's even without the tps even set yet or the iac, The idle was kinda high but the engine was running strong, and now this after what 3 weeks or less. I did the iac and I checked and fixed all the vacuum hoses they are all brand new. I checked the Runners bolts on the Super Ram runners none are loose. fuel pressure has been set also. Any help would be great. I have some Vortec heads about ready I just want to be sure I only have a valve problems etc.

 

they should never be able to turn and especially when a valve is open, that's when the most preasure is on them.
