towing my car
I have to pull my 92 z28 out to the shop tonight after work. What can i hook the tow rope too? i think if i went under the front the rope would come up and bend the ground effect. Thinkin maybe the strut tower brace or would that just rip the bolts outs. Need help ASAP. THANKS

dont use that brace that goes down from the hood latch to the air damn. Because if the guy sitting in the car hits the brakes and the strap tightens up it will sinch and crush the bracket and then rip it off the radiator, and break alot of plastic stuff undernieth the bumper.
The only decent way that I have seen it done was by making a tow bracket. I seen it at a shop once that a guy used to tow his car around at the track. It was a 2" wide by 1" tall steel c channel about 3 feet long. It bolted onto the frame where it goes under the motor (I guess he had the holes taped or something), on the other end he had a hole in the channel where a tow hook could go in. The guy that had it said that it worked very well. I havent had to tow my car recently so I never made one.

I pulled that car with a 2" inch strap tow rope. Hooked it on the passenger side frame rail, theres a hole there to hook it and just hook it as low as possible on the pickup, like around the axle. It wont hurt anything just have the guy in the car keep the strap tight.

the sway bar works to......
if your using a rope you could use the front crossmember, you should be able to get a rope through between it and the motor
