My GTA's information center is driving me CRAZY!
My "R LAMP" light has been lit since I installed my spoiler a year ago. Apparently the info center's bulb testing circuit doesn't like the LED brake light. That was bad enough, but for the last few days the sonofabitch beeps and flashes at me every time I put the brakes on. I can't stand it anymore. It needs to end now. Does anybody have a GM manual with the wiring schematic for this diagnostic system? I need to bypass the tail light circuit to keep this thing fat dumb and happy. Thanks.

I assume you have some sort of aftermarket rear brake light? I didn't think the factory lights used LEDs.
Anyway, this might sound like a stupid suggestion, but what if you wire in a socket/bulb in the circuit? You could tuck away behind a panel in the hatch so that you couldn't see it at all, and the computer, if it somehow is measuring the voltage drop (or lack thereof) across the rear brake light, will see only marginally higher drop in the circuit (compared to normal) if at all.
Just a thought. Might be easier than trying to bypass the circuit to the computer altogether.
Good luck
Eric

i second that. The computer ( or whatever) probably measures the resistance across the circuit but sees infinate because of the led's instead of regular bulbs.

Wiring a bulb in is really not the way I'd like to deal with it for the simple reason that I'm going to have to tuck a bulb that gets VERY hot into a location that isn't exactly heat-friendly. I'd much rather bypass the lights all together and wire the feed directly to the return. That'll solve my problem and keep everything kosher. I just can't find a damned pin assignment or wiring diagram for the circuit.
