please HELP!! car won't stay running

I just finished replacing my intake gaskets. The car starts fine but when I put it in gear (reverse or drive), the car dies. I have no problem starting the car up again? Does anyone know what my problem could be? I already checked the vacuum lines and all electrical connections. What else could be causing this?

As a stab in the dark, maybe the idle speed is too low? I know you've probably thought of that, but you never know.

How do I check for codes? Also, I didn't remove the TBI from the intake when I replaced the gaskets so I don't think anything got changed as far as idle speed goes.

jump the a and b terminals of the aldl. if you don't have a ses light on you don't have codes. you sure all the vacuum lines are on?

Yes, I checked all the vacuum lines again. They are all on there tight. I am going to look at the timing again and see also see if my distributor is still lined up (from the marks I made before removing it). I'll also check the timing again. There is also no SES light.
