Hood clearance - Edelbrock performer RPM or RPM airgap

Has anyone fit an Edelborck Performer RPM or a Performer RPM airgap in a 84 trans am or something similar.

I have a 3" air filter and a 1" spacer on the carb, I think the spacer between the carb and the current manifold is 0.5"

I have a performer manifold, and I check the edlebrock site, both the RPM and the RPM airgap are less than 1" taller overall than the Performer.

I have an Air Gap, 1" spacer and 3" air cleaner. IF it wasn't for the Ram Air hood it would never fit.

This is with an Edlebrock Carb and no spacer. Now with the Holley and spacer it is even taller.
