Dieing out problem..
My frinds neighbor has an automatic '83 LG4 Camaro (54,xxx original miles) that I've recently put Edelbrock headers and 2¾" exhaust on. I also put on a new FP, filter, FP to carb fuel line, Accel cap, rotor, coil, plug wires and bosch platinum plugs.
The problem (and was somewhat present prior to the above new items) is that when you floor it, it dies out/stumbles around 4k rpm in 2nd gear or 3rd. If you let off to let the car shift and get back on it, it runs fine untill around 4k again in the next gear. The problem doesn't happen in 1st gear though. Normal driving to mild spirited driving, the car has no signs of a problem.
It seems (to me) like it's running out of gas on the top end or could it be some other probem I'm not smart enough to figure out ? I pretty much suck when it comes to working on/diagnosing carb'd cars so any ideas are welcome and much appreciated.

Hmm.. maybe put of all the new crap I've put on, I got a bunk fuel pump then or there's someting screwey with the ignition...
I suppose it's about time I invest in a hand scanner instead of using a voltmeter & this guessing crap all the time...
Thanks for at least responding fu-q
I did notice that the timing when at idle jumps anywhere from 6-12ish° and I have it set, as per emissions label, at 6-8°. Could this be an ignition module(sp?) problem.. I was alwasy under the assumption that they worked or they didn't (as my firebird showed me once..)
