Want advice for engine

I want to get a 5.7 tpi for my 86 TA. I was just wondering what I would need to get so that it would run mid upper 300 horse. And would the tpi unit from a 305 fit the 350? thanks

this one is pretty popular. youll have to burn a prom and upgrade your injectors and a few other things at teh very least to get any sort of return on your invesment. Yopur present tpi unit will not fit because of the older intake face, good time to upgrade it to a better flowing unit.

Oh, forgot to metion this newer engine has the one piece rear main seal, i think '86 was the intoduction of the one piece so you may or may not have to get a different flywheel/flexplate.

it has the cast iron tpi heads in addition tot he cam. No swirl ports like the lo5. Short block is the same.

Oh ok, I was wondering if they wanted $350 more for a different cam. That cam has the same specs as the Crane CompuCam 2032 by the way.
