From Hyd Roller to Hyd Flat Tappet???

Aight Guys im going to be doing a top end upgrade on my 305.... I have a 89 Firebird wit a 305, so i "GUESS" its a Hyd Roller Cam setup... Well Summit and Jegs both have specials that include cam lifters springs timing chain for like 300$.... My question is can I put that in my block being it seems cheaper to get setup as to getting just the crane hyd roller cam which i beleive runs about like 239$ for just the cam.....

If your roller lifters don't have too many miles, they can be reused.. unlike hyd flat lifters.

but to answer your question, yes a hyd flat tappit cam will fit into your roller block np. your pushrods will need to be a different length though, so get pushrods for a hyd flat tappit V8.
