Think I can make 425 NA??

I have a 383 that I am going to be putting an LT1 intake on along with the LT4 hot cam, 1.6 roller rockers and ported Iron swirl typle L98 heads that are being cut for 2.02, 1.6 valves.... I would like to see 425 horsepower with no power adders and then go for a 125 shot in the spring once I have a suspension and transmission that can transfer that much power. does it sound do-able?

Hmm, I'm no expert, but, I think you'll need higher compression than the stock L98s give, what type of pistons are you getting?

Check out the fairly recent issues of Hot Rod and Chevy Hi Performance. They have both done 383 buildups and made more than 450 hp naturally aspirated

I have a 355 that makes 423 HP at the crank (don't know RWHP). It has a relatively mild Crane cam, 11:1 TRW forged with ported/worked 76cc stock cast iron heads netting about 10.6:1, converted 2-bolt center caps, and an old style Performer and POS Holley - no adders. If you're looking for that kind of power at the crank, it's very easy to do, since even I can manage it. For that level of RWHP, you may need some better components, but the extra cubes are going to be a big help in your quest.
