do you have a buffer? I had to use one when the business across the street got paint on my buddies 98 Z28, "our paint couldnt have done that, it turns into dust when it hits the air" So then how did all of this "dust" stick to his car so well?!?
Anyways, We just washed it and then used the buffer on it and it went away, and looks really nice.

If the paint on your car is Base/Clear (most 86 and newer, or repainted) use either laquer thinners
or Urethane reducer (Clear coat reducer)
If your car has laquer paint (older factory paint) then use
enamel reducer or auto solv (wax and grease remover)
Keep the car out of the sun so the oversprayed paint doesn't bake in.
Once this paint overspray is "cured" you will have to buff it off with
a fairly course cut compound and a buffing machine.
You can try sanding with 1200 wet and polishing if it's is clear coat.
If your car was waxed or had a pertectant applied before,
the paint should come off with solvent. as above.
Test a small hidden area first. If the solvent on a cloth is picking up paint, (your car paint) then don't use it.
Wash your car with soap and water first so you don't rub the dirt into your paint.
You'll want to use two rags. One to wet the car paint with the solvent and one to wipe it clean.
You'll need lots of clean cloth rags or kimtowels.

You DO keep wax/sealant on the car body, DON'T you?

yea i do. i got most off on one side by taking it off with my finger nail. but then i though i was scratching the paint. BTW what is a clay bar. i went and asked autozone and they looked at me stupid
. and for my paint it is not the orginal paint so i dunno what to do about the solvents. if i just go buy a buffer will it take off the paint.

i used the clay bar and it didnt work. so if i flick it off with my finger nail it scrates the paint. i have no clue what to do.
go to any auto part store and ask for a clay bar, it is essentially that. At the same time I know Kragen sells stuff that is made for road paint. Also, if all else fails i used a product called goof off (get it at home depot) and it took it off for me, but mines not factory paint so be carefull with it.
