Oil leak, now what?

I have an oil leak at the back of both my valve covers (imagine that ), anyways, I know since these are centerbolts and made of steel, that the valve covers tend to flex at the ends. A buddy of mine said if I get aluminum valve covers and a nice set of gaskets, that it shouldn't leak for a long time.

Well, after checking out the prices for aluminum valve covers , I was wondering if I could get by with just a really nice set of gaskets? Do yall know of any?.....and how much do the screws on the valve covers have to be torqued down?

Thanks for your help.

have U pulled the covers yet??? czu if not, make sure that all the oil is draining back into the pan, or it may be getting hung up in the head and going out the back

Just get new gaskets. They are easy to change. Fel pro makes good ones, just make sure you get them in there correctly.
