I just installed my auto meter air fuel ratio gauge and took a ride and it is bouncing all over the place. I know the directions say a flucuation is normal but this thing goes in the lean on accelleration. at cruising speed it will bounce between the red and yellow and then other times it will be between yellow and the first green. is this thing suppose to bounce so much or do i have a problem. i also have a fuel pressure gauge it reads 43psi at idle and will increase to 48 at WOT.if I start the car and leave it at idle the gauge will be on one or two yellow lights. if i takeoff it will increase to a green light. the problem only happens once i push the clutch in to stop. help me guys. Mods are in sig. please help.

 

my friend has an autometer guage on his jeep.....it is stock, and it bounces around like no other. it is the type with the LEDs.

i don't think i would ever get one, but i guess it is major eye candy for the girls

 

well i wouldnt spend the money on one either but i got this one for $15 from a friend. I have noticed something wlse also. My car has had a surge at idle ever since the motor change and now that iahve this gauge i noticed that when the idle surges up, the gauges goes into the rich and whenit surges down it reads lean. it never stays in the middle. I think I may have to take her to a good EFI doctor
