do i need a higher stall converter

ok ive had my cam in for about a year now, and i just started wondering if maybe i needed to step up the TC stall? what do you guys think , it is a 423/446 lift crane cam, and everything else i have is in my sig. if so, what is a good quality not exspensive TC and what stall should irun.

You don't need a stall with that cam, but it sure will help a lot.

For a daily driver I wouldn't go above a 2800 or so, from what I've read. Basically, you want a stall 500 rpms below your peak tq if I recall correctly. But that in some instances will still be too high for a street car.

Good advice from these guys. What is the duration on that cam? That's more important than the lift numbers because duration determines the powerband and where you'll make max power.
