If i do these mods to my car will i be able to run with/beat an LT1:
3inch no cat exhaust with flowmaster 80 series
up 2.73's to 3.42's
headers
custom burnt chip
and porribly airfoil and i'll have my custom ram air made.
I have a 92 camaro with a 355 right now...doing roughly 100mph in the quarter....haven't got a gtech or tracktime yet.

What cam do you have? If it's decent then I'd say you can take an LT1, what about heads too?

 

I was told it had a wolverine camshaft. The previous owner was RODS92Z. He knows more about the car than me because he did the engine swap and boring and what not. I think it's just got stock heads. PM him for more details.

By adding headers and 3:42s to that combo, you should be able to hit high 13s easy. So that would take most stock LT1s.

 

so with all the mods i listed plus probably more.....what times you think i could run in teh quarter

 

With 100mph you should be close to beating LT1s. In good conditions you should see high 13s.

 

Well if you really are running 100MPH in the quarter you should have no problem hanging with an LT1, if not beating one. However, I don't think you're a 100MPH car with stock exhaust and 2.73's.

 

I know the car can do 100 in the quarter, I owned and built the car. In my own experiences with the car and Lt1 cars, Im pretty sure you can hang around the LT1 crowd.
