If you’re talking about the Elgin Cams in Redwood City, CA, then yes I’ve used their cams and still do. His cams pretty known with a lot of the respected engine builders up here in the Bay Area and all agree that he builds good cams. One thing you’ll notice about Elgin’s cams is that they have very moderate lift values as apposed to a lot of other cam manufacturers. Elgin may not be as well known as Comp, Crane, etc., but they are very top-notch cams. As far as cam recommendations, do yourself a favor and contact the cam manufacturer. The guys at Elgin are very helpful to me and have always put up with my many questions. You can find out more about Elgin Cams at www.elgincams.com . Hope this helps.
