Please don't lock this until I get some leads....Please!!

I am starting to write my senior thesis for finance and my topic is going to be Classic Cars as Investments.
I am going to track the prices of sports and muscle cars from 1969 compared to the stock market.

I need to know where I can find the original selling prices of the 1969 vehicles, and maybe a listing of their prices each year since then. Anyone have any ideas??

 

Looks like it might be hard to do a search for that.

Best I could say is to check sites like E-bay, (original owners of old camaros normally put up the original window sticker) Also asking people at car shows.

Plus, you can always call Chevrolet themselves for the info, or contact your local dealer. Either one might be able to get you the info.

Here is a good place http://www.barrett-jackson.com/ go to the auction results page. I went to one of their auctions when it was in AZ and saw a 1969 (I think) Yenko camaro go for $110,000. Original sale price was like $6,500 or something like that.

 

Thanks. I was going to check out Barret Jackson for sales prices from the auctions, but I had no idea that they list original sales prices too. That would be great!!
