Can you use domed pistons with Vortec heads?

I have a destroked 400 (350 crank) with approx 12.5 compression (no street use). I'd like to know if the Vortec head combustion chambers will clear the domes. If so, I can get it running with some simple spring/guide/stud work and worry about upgrading heads next year.

How far above the deck surface do the domes stick up? This will be the big factor. The Vortecs are very similar to other 64cc heads.

depends on the dome height, ideally you'd want a small chamber and dished pistons. reguardless of what set up you chose you should dummy up one head and 2 valves at least and measure the piston to valve clearance.
