had a tune-up recently........
Like I was saying, I had a tune-up a few months ago (I don't know a ton about engines so I took it to a shop) and it seems like my Camaro isn't performing as well. I bought it used, '92 Camaro Z28 Convert, and I am under the belief that the guy had everything set for performance but now things are sucky. Before it used to really jolt me around when it shifted and it really had some serious pick up. But now it is just smooth and kinda lacking. I'm thinking they just set the stock settings back on and I am wondering what I need to do to get more performance out of it. I really think they restricted me, what do I do? What do I ask for when I go to a garage? Thanks a lot guys, oh yeah, another quick question. About those chips, like superchip etc., how do those work? Which works best and are they hard to install? thanks a bunch guys.

Aftermarket chips kind of suck. You really should have your own burned to match your mods. I don't see how the shop could have messed things up. Maybe they set your timing back to stock.

Like Mark said they might of changed your timing back to the stock setting. That's the only thing that I can that they can adjust that would affect performance negatively. As for chips find someone that burns them to do a custom one for you. The hyperchip ones aren't that great and you can get better settings for your peticular car with a custom.
