oil pan gasket

I have a blue Felpro 1 piece rubber gasket for my 84 Z 305 oil pan. I was told to install this gasket dry, is that true or should i use some type of silicone. If so, should i put it on both sides of the gasket or just on the oil pan or just on the block. Im new to working on cars and i would apprciate all the help i can get.

Install the gasket dry, just use 3M spray glue to stick it to the block.
