Anyone tried Dart Pro 1 heads ?

Ive been looking for a set of heads for my 383 project for quite some time, and I recently came across a set of Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads out of Summit. I want a set that will make power up to 7500rpm and will bolt up to a StealthRam. Has anyone had any experience with these or have any information? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I use their brothern cast iron version, Iron Eagle's.

I am using the 215cc 2.05/1.625 valved, 64cc chambered version. I have been very impressed with what I got...630hp on 92 pump octane. There is a lot more to this motor than can be discussed in a single reply. But the Pro1 is the alloy version to the above mentioned head.

Quick run down:

377 cid
10.7:1 comp
holley hp950 (joe shermanized)
2925 Super Victor manifold
mech roller (large)
jesel shaft rockers
crank- blah blah
6.125 rod
Flat tops- blah blah
CV products oil pan
msd digital7 programmable (must use)

Got a set of them under my belt now, as well as several sets of their cast iron cousin the Iron Eagles. They're good heads out of the box.

If you aren't planning to lift the valves much over .500" then don't bother with anything larger than 200cc- they don't flow any more until you really get the valve off it's seat a long way. 400-450 LEGITIMATE STREET HP is relatively easy to make on a 383 with these heads, bolt-on, no-porting required.

If you're going even hotter than that I'd recommend having them ported by somebody who knows what makes them really flow good. It's only at that point I'd recommend looking at the larger intake port versions of these heads.

just make sure you have them surfaced-mine were warped out of the box.

I have them on my 383 I built in my sig. I bought them bare though and had them completely machined from the guy who built the motor. No complaints but make sure you get the right spark plugs. I had .46 reach plugs and my car ran like crap because the heads need .75 reach plugs. I put these new plugs in but have not run it yet.You will definately be able to produce 450-500 HP with these on a 383.
