rough engine after 45 minutes

i Have an 89 rs 2.8l. runs great for 45 minutes after that no power engine back fires and will not accelerate. i replaced the cap, rotor, wires, plugs, tps, iac, vaccumm hoses, airfilter, air pump check valve. air pump pipe, removed the cat, noe the only weird thing is the timing is set at about 25degrees or else the car is so sluggish its like a 4 cylendar. timing chain is next. any other suggestions?

Yes ...ignition module...may be heating up and shorting out,,you may want to check the pick-up coil also.
