My LT1 covers are ribbed, not smooth. Ribbed for increased sensitivity? I'm not sure, but they are ribbed.

I've never compared sided-by-side, but they ARE centerbolt, and should have similar perimeter dimensions. However, I have a feeling the LT1 heads have a taller sealing flange than some of the older heads. There's an easy way to find out though. It's only three bolts.
