car will not rev

My car died on the freway and would not start, so I had it towed home. The next morning I started it, and it ran fine so I drove it to work. On the way home I floored it, and it died(would not start so I pushed it the rest of the way home.)

So far I changed the ignition control module, the coil, checked the fuel pressure 43 psi, changed the MAF, and changed the computer. The cap and rotor are new. Changed the distributor. changed the fuel filter.

The car will start and idle roughly, but as soon as I give it any gas it dies. It will not rev up. if I am floored when I start it it will rev up to 3500rpm then die. What do you guys think the problem could be??? I have searched and searched but I can't find the problem. Thanks for any ideas

What happens to the fuel pressure when you load the engine?

i've been hunting this problem for about 2 months
1-it's not a vacume leak every single gasket on the intake is new,and i tested for a vacume leak by spraying water all over the intake to see if i get a change in idle,no change
2-it's not fuel new Walpro 255 pump, getting consistant 46 psi at the rail.the injectors are fairly new, getting voltage to the injectors
3-i've adjusted the valves 3 or 4 times
4-i'm getting plenty of spark from my MSD box and my Accell coil, new cap,new rotor, new plugs, new spark modgule(sp?)i have a set of 8.8 Accell wires that are a few years old i'm going to change those and put some new plugs in.and see what happens.
It starts up and will idle, rough but it'll idle.it's going to idles rough with the 94 LT1 cam w/1.6 RR's and a stock PROM.
i even went throught and pushed in each and every wire at the ECM to make sure they were all seated right.
The Cat is about 4 years old.

i don't think the age of the cat has anything to do with it being clogged or not. try leak down or compression test

What kind of MSD box is it. I had problems with a 6AL. It kept blowing the plug in RPM chips. Disconnected it and went back to in cap coil and module. Works good through 7000rpm in the race car. Hope that helps.
