It will bolt on and plug in fine. Actually, any GM CC Carb will pretty much bolt on and work. My buddys 87 Cutlass 307 has the exact same carb as my car. There are however minor differences in the carb, which are metering rods, and secondary metering rods hanger. Stock 205 metering rods are going to be bigger around (letting less fuel through), especiallt the secondaries, since a stock 305 does not need alot of gas. On the other hand, I have a CC carb on my SBC 400 with a performer intake, so 305 metering rods would run my engine lean. I took some metering rods out of a big ol' boat 70's cadillac from the junk yard, and the tip of them is about the size of a sewing needle. Also, the secondary rod hanger will hold the rods lower or higher into the jets, letting less or more fuel though, respectively.

To make a really long story short, if you buy it and have a carb you are currently using, swap your old metering rods and hangers to the new one. This will give you a chance to rebuild your carb, too.

one thing to look for.... vacuum ports... my 86 lg4 carb had on extra vacuum port at the base, and neither of the other two carbs i have has that port... it ended up (eventually) being the pressure relief for the gas tank through a series of hoses and things
