What compression should I keep my car at in order to run 89 octane feul and what do I have to do to keep it at that level when putting aftermarket parts on the engine? thanks in advance.

What aftermarket parts do you have in mind? The only ones that affect static compression are the pistons and the heads.

I know you can get at least 93 octane in your area. If this is a daily driver, your limitation may be reasonable, but an LT1 that runs over 10:1 static can run on as low as 87 octane, albeit at reduced power. If you have a reliable detonation sensor and the correct programming, you should be able to run at those levels without too much trouble. You'll have to be sure you keep the heads cool and maintain the EGR system.

I'm plannaing on practically every modification at some point. So If I get 9.5 pistons and 70cc heads I will be safe to run 87-89 octane feul then right? Thanks for your help!
