Help! I can't drive at night.

Okay, so we go to take pictures of my car last night, and I realized I had a blown fuse. It's the one that controls the front parking lights, the taillights (when the lights are on, not for braking), and the interior gauge lights. So we go to Wal-Mart and get fuses. I replace it, and a minute later it blows again. Grr! So then I went from a 20amp fuse to a 25amp (please don't yell at me..... ) and it blew as soon as I turned the lights back on. Please help, this is very annoying, and I don't feel like getting rammed in my rear (so to speak) by someone who couldn't see that I was in front of them.

By the way, I do realize that this should have gone in the Electronics board, but I thought I'd get much more response in the tech board, and it's kind of important (can't drive at night now), so I'd appreciate it if you could leave it, mods...

Thanks.

Well it's most likely a short somewhere, so you're going to have to check over all your wiring. I'd check the grounds first.

I thought about that, because I had my interior stripped down for a while and I had taken that out and put it back in, but I didn't think they were on the same circuit... are they??

I second that.

Also have you fiddled with your stereo at all ?

Lastly, Check the fusible links near the starter.

I had the same problem after installing a radio in my camaro. Aperantly I used the factory radio dimmer wire as a ground. It checks out as a ground with the lights off but goes hot when lights are on. My radio worked fine and when I turned on the lights that night I thought I just blew the dash light fuse and the radio was still playing so it took me some schematics and beer to figure it out.
