stored for a engine build.....
Well , after reading these winter storage topics I'm very concerned
I parked my T/aA in the garage about 9 months ago , with a fresh oil change and untreated gas though. Now i'm wondering what the fuel might be doing to the tank and lines and should I just drain the oil altogether. Seems the transmission fluid started leaking not long after parking it. Don't plan on having the motor complete for at least 6 months. Any advice??

when my car was stored over this past winter, the previous owner left it with 3/4 tank of gas in it, untreated. now, it is indeed a very good idea to drain your fuel tank, or at least add stabilizer to the fuel.
i see this a lot at work. when gas sits for a long time, it chemically breaks down into a varnish like substance. it gums up the carb on a small engine rather well... just picture what it will do to your car.
the oil.... i'm not sure about. i've read that it breaks down, and should be changed after 1 year, even if the car is stored, and not run. i'm not too sure about this, so i'll leave vader or someone a bit more knowledgeable to answer that question for you.

my car has sat for about 3 months while i been rebuilding the motor. it has less than a 1/4 tank of gas. should i worry about any of this or will it be fine?

I guess I'll go for the record. I started mine up after a rebuild, and the car previously sat for 3 years!!
How bad you think that gas was?? Needless to say, I did have to add "Heet" to get rid of the water, and change my filter once. I didn't even think about it when I pulled and reinstalled the engine.
No wonder I couldn't tune it for s**t for the first 500 miles or so.
Yes - I agree with above post. Drain everything.
