now this is with a gutted cat with no air tube going to it. other then that how does the engine seem to be running?

With a 3" Dynomax cat with no air tube, no smog pump, 12* initial timing, and 50 psi fp I had 0.23 PPM HC and 6.0 PPM CO...The only emissions device was the cat itself and I am running all other paramaters out of spec - I stil managed to come in under the .80 HC and 15 CO limit. If your testing is anything like IL, you will fail. Invest in a good cat and get it flanged. You will save yourself many headaches. As for how your car runs...Invest in some test and tune sessions at the local drag strip and find out - see what your car like and go from there.

 

Those arent Bad #'s for cat Gutted Car, IMO.

Put a Cat on there and it should clean up nice.

I have *NO* cat and your CO is *MUCH* lower than mine, although your HC's at idle are like 3x mine!!

My carb needs some super tuning.

 

well im not so much worried about passing inspection. i should of said this earlier!!

im more worried about how the car is running.. Like i suspect a bad EGR and possibly bad O2.. thanks
