i am wondering if i need to put new valve springs on, and if so which ones??? i have a set of ported heads(186 castings), i have a set of 1.6 roller rockers, i did open up the push rod holes just in case. i have a i have a comp cam(268H) it has .454/.454 lift, do you guys think i need new valve spings?? any help would be great!!

 

Yes, get the ones Comp lists in their catalog for use with that cam...they're not that hard to change, and its good insurance.
