Need help with a decision

ok guys im having a dilema(spelling?) right now, here it is: i really want to build a 406 for my 86 iroc, and i was planning on starting next spring, now heres the problem this winter i was planning on porting a set of 305 heads i have so i could be faster at the strip next spring. Now should i go ahead and spend a little money on the 305 heads now, and maybe wait a little longer on the 406. Or save all my money for the 406? thanks guys

If you have a 406 in the works only do what it takes to keep the 305 running long enough till its done..
thats my $.02

Ye, I'd put all efforts into the 400. Why burn yourself out on something you are not going to keep for very long. It also seams like you would be running a much quicker 60ft with those mods. That 60ft looks like an unmodified LB9 run. Seams like you could pick up some e.t. from somewhere esle without messing with the heads. I mean it looks like something isn't working right. Didn't notice if you added a slightly higher stall converter or not. Not that you need that much more but a good launch would help out.

I agree with the rest. Don't spend money on something that will be sitting in the garage in a little while. I'd just be patient and sink the money into the 400!

Good luck!
