Just bought a new Iroc

Hi guys, I just bought a 1990 IrocZ last week. I bought it from an old couple who havent driven it in almost three years. Its basically just been sitting in the driveway since '99. It was running when they parked it but nobody has started it or so much as opened a door since then. What are some of the things I should do before I attempt to start it up. I know a little bit about cars so I have a few ideas of things that need to be done but I thought Id get some input from some pro's. Ive towed the car to my house and so far all Ive done is drained the gas tank. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

-Rocky

Just make sure that there is oil in it.......

Check all the wires to make sure they are still in good condition, check the battery...

There's my suggestions....

Ive changed the oil and drained and replaced the coolant in the rad. Someone mentioned to me it would be a good idea to squirt some oil into the cylinders through the plug holes. Ive managed to get the front two on each side but Im not even going to try for the rest. any other ideas?

also I mentioned above that I had drained the gas tank. this was a lie. I just figured by the time anyone read this I would have managed to drain the tank. I planned on just siphoning it out with a kit i borrowed but the hose doesnt seem to want to go all the way down. Its getting caught on something, either that or Im just tool-ing out. Are there any easier ways to drain the tank?

I'd change the tranny fluid and filter soon after you get it running...
