well guys i have another problem,took the car out for a drive today,running open headers up our service road,i know its not going to run right like that,but i would think it would have ran better than it did,it was like loading up or something,when ever i would first push on the gas,and after it got going,it took off,pulling past 5500 rpm's,im having my 3in flowmaster catback put on tommorow,also,when i was bringing it backit was like backfiring really bad,and my friend said when i took off,it was shooting flames out of the pipes,everything is brand new on it,carb,wires,everything,my electric choke wasnt hooked up either,would that maybe have been a problem?thanks for your help,

backfirig from where? through the carb. or exaust?

open headers shoot flames out, dont worry about it

mine always did it, for about 300 miles till I put the exaust on.

 

it was backfiring out the exhaust,but what about it loading up like it is?thanks

 

Hey man, just cruise on over for the 12 miles to FSU, and I'll have a look at it.

 

Um, not all headers shoot out flames. I've never seen open headers do that.
