Someone tell me the symptoms...

of a bad IAC sensor. Would it cause problems sometimes without throwing a code? My car has a hard time getting back to idle and sometimes won't even idle and just die. If I hold the gas to keep the car alive around the idle area it will run rough at first and eventually smooth out if sitting long enough with the gas being pressed. Won't run rough though once out of the 1000 RPM and below range. Would this be a bad IAC or MAF?

a bad IAC can cause a high idle or no idle at all.

So does my problem sound like its stemming from the IAC?
