Revving High

I was wondering what the best hydrolic roller cam for over 7,000 RPM would be?

I was also wondering what Goodwrench 350 crate bottom end could take for the max. Reving?

any help is appreciated,

THANKS

sorry for not knowing

I'm sure it can be done with a hydro roller, but a mech roller would be better suited for those turns. If you had real good springs, 7000 would be fine for a hydro roller, but winding an engine that tight with such a heavy valve train is going to take it toll.

Well i would be using a Rev Kit, but i was specifically wondering what cam would be best for making the power with. When you said "but winding an engine that tight with such a heavy valve train is going to take it toll. " I was wondering why it would do it with hydro, but not with solid.

The reason i want to rev that high is because i am going to probably doing more racing from a go, or at a drag strip, and I feal the higher RPMs would do me better. Also my brother is building his T/A for low end power, and i just want something diffrent from what he has.

I would still like to know how high of rpm's that Goodwrench 350 can take for the bottom end.

Thanks Agian

No hydrolic lifters will be able to take you to 7000 rpm realiably. Theres a reason hondas come from the factory with solid lifters and its not for hp. The goodwrench engines are also not designed to spin that high. They are stock replacements. This is not to say that a hydrolic goodwrench engine cant rev to 7000 rpm but it wont last long. If you want a high reving engine my advise would be to build a 302. With its short stroke you will be able to get away with a cast crank as long as the rods and pistons are of the lightweight variety.

The Goodwrench 350 has PM connectiong rods, and has hyperectic pistons. I was also told that there would be no problem with the stock cast crank.

What kind of heads would it have, would they be swirl ports or what would they be?
