Hey all,

I have an 84 T/A with the ****ty LG4 in it... It has been sitting for 2 years... it has old oil... When i first start it, the motor skips, but after its run for awhile it does not skip. Is this normal? am i looking at just a tune-up?
also, how are edelbrock's motors? www.edelbrock.com

 

yeah, most carb. cars tend to run like **** when they are cold, I know mine does.

give it a full tune up, and make sure the choke is operating properly.
Edelbrock motors tend to be overpriced, check Recon motors, or GM Crate motors. they are a bit more reasonable, have better warratys, and make about the same power.

 

well first do a tuneup and see if that fixes it, i wouldnt just go out and buy a new engine right away..
