Tranny or engine?
My car was fine for a little bit about a year ago when I put the cam in and got all the ignition wired correctly (needed new fuel pump, ignition module, and battery too). The problem i had then was that at WOT the car would stutter (wump wump wump) until i let off the gas about halfway, then it would go. I know that was the engine. The module and everything else solved it fo a little bit. Now, if I floor it from anywhere, especially a stop, the car bogs a bit (new rods and hangers for carb coming soon) and it does the same thing. If i manually drop it down a gear and floor it, the car responds nicely and accelerates normal. My car has never had a rebuilt anything, and i'm thinking that with a new TC with 2000 stall, the rods and hangers, and maybe adjusting the ignition cable and kickdown cable this could go away. I'm still not sure what it is. It is very frustrating not knowing if your car will move under a lot of pedal and having to manually drop the gear. I'm most likely getting the heavy duty 700R4 from Probuilt and new gears and posi. Hopefully this and the engine rebuild will solve these problems, but is there one thing i could do now to stop it? And will these mods fix it? Thanks guys.

It's still the carb. Typical Qjet bog even rods and hangers arent going to fix it. Id check the choke pull off or reset the secondary tensioner. The problem is your opening up too quickly and dumping too much fuel or the choke isnt fully opening. Hey we need 5.7kid in here stat, he's the only guy with enough patience to fix a qjet problem, some times..

well my buddy, Curt86iroc, just replaced his rods and hangers, and his bog is gone. Hopefully that will work for me too. I'm going to be rebuilding the carb soon, will that fix it or at least help? Where is five7kid...
