Erratic idling
I'm sure this question has been asked a milling and a hafl times, but I couldn't find anything searching, so I thought I'd ask it myself.
I've got a 91 camaro RS with a TB 305, and in hte past week, my car will sometimes idle erratically. It will almost stall, then jump up to 900-1000 rpms, then almost die again. It's gotten worse in the past few days. I've asked a few people, and gotten a few different things to look at, but I was just wondering if anyone has seen or had this problem before and what the best course of action is to get it fixed. Thanks!!

try this..
assuming all the vac hoses are connected properly....and no codes r set....
check the fuel pressure and proper spray pattern on the injectors...no dribbling.
check battery voltage, cables and grounds.
it could be any number of things besides those however....
doing this in open or closed loop or both make a difference in diagnostics.

Sounds Like My Firebird all Over Again
I had the same problem with my Bird. I was lazy and didnt want to fix the obvious problem. I changed every sensor under the hood. I have the same set up as you. I checked the vacuums, looked at all the plugs and wires, even changed the fuel pressure regulator. When I finally got off my butt and down to business I finally checked the actual fuel pressure. Turns out it was my FUEL PUMP the whole dang time. I just didnt want to put some work in on changing it. You have to drop out the rearend to get to it (or you could cheat like me and bend the hell out of the fuel neck
) Anyways, first things first, Check that fuel pressure. It beats chasing down an imaginary gremlin. LOL Hope this helps

I replaced my fuel pump about 4 months ago, and my fuel pressure is good. My bet's on a vacuum leak, I haven't replaced the vacuum lines in a while, hopefully it'll work out.
