Changing the oil pan gasket
Changing the oil pan gasket
I am constantly dripping oil and it seems as though it is from the oil pan gasket, how hard would it be to change that gasket, and would I have to lift the engine up or could i do it from under the car...please help fast....AARON

i did mine from under the car but you have to unhook it from the motor mounts and take off your manifolds, and distributor then pull her up till the bellhousing is snug on the firewall, also nee to remove the starter
Oil Sending Unit
I just read that it could be the oil pressure sending unit, maybe thats why my digital dash oil pressure gauge always displays a jittering oil pressure reading, could it be this sending unit doing this, it drops oil on my y pipe and burns it off too...AARON
sending unit
could be the oil sending unit or a rear main seal gone bad. Its hard to tell for us without looking at it. Oh and dont forget to check the valve cover gaskets too. The have a tendency to leak.

oil sending unit
i had one of the go south on me also, i took my 88 gta into the dealer to get a check over for timing and a compression test, and i had an oil leak i couldnt find for the heck of things, they said it was my intake leaking out oil like a SOB, they wanted to charge me $ 700 to just do my intake gaskets after i had just finished doin the whole top half of my motor, it turned out being a 16.99 oil sending unit, id check that also, mine was leaking when it was stamped togeteher and hardly even noticed the oil from the unit
