i need help....engine wont start

well ive posted this one the tbi board but i dont think theyll be able to help to much. infact i should have posted here first. basically the car wont start. it cranks but no fuel. i tried the pump directly to the battery and it worked, i tried it while cranking but no fuel came out of the injectors. so basically im not gettin fuel from the pump or the injectors, i also think im not gettin spark. when i turn the key the security light comes on for two seconds and then turns off. so i doubt its the vats. i checked the fuse next to the battery under that hood and it looks good but its not gettin a current. all the fuses look good too. this all happend after a engine change because my first one went out. what could cause this problem? please help. thanks in advanced. also is the break light supposed to turn on while cranking the engine?

I believe all the warning lights should come on when the key is in the 'start' position as a 'lights test' feature.

You could at least state what motor you have...,,,

EDIT: oh it's tbi. ok, Try disconnecting the 4 wire connector at the ignition module and see if it starts. You probably have a bad ignition module or pick-up coil. This will cause the injector to not fire.

EDIT #2: OK, you just put the motor in and it's hasn't run at all?
Did you forget to hook anything up?? Look over the whole primary ignition system for any broken/disconnected wires.....

You just put the motor in? Check your grounds, especially the one on the back of the cylinder head, passenger side, I believe. That one is easy to miss.
i also think im not gettin spark
Verify that. It makes a big difference as to what the cause is.
