Engine: Goodwrench 350

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: good guess

Oil sending unit?

What is the oil sending unit for that is located at the back of the block where the intake manifold rear rail meets the block used for? I had to replace the one above the oil filter a couple of years ago cuz it was bad and was just curious about the other one. My ride is 91 RS w/ LO3

sending unit

The one near the back of the intake manifold is for the fuel pump. It shuts the pump off when you have low oil pressure
