RADIATOR COOLING fan switch wiring
RADIATOR COOLING fan switch wiring
I have an '88 T/A, there is a fan switch plugged into the passenger side of the block/head where it should be on a 3rd gen V-8 car however.... However, there is no wiring harness plugged into it! The cooling fan does come on, but it obviously is controled some other way since someone jerry-rigged this car. I have purchased a Hypertech cool fan switch and would like to use it, but I must first find the wire that should ordinarily control the power to the fan switch soI can hook it up to the Hypertech when I change it out. Can anyone tell me where to look under the hood for the fan switch wire coming out of the main harness(color, location, etc...) This car heats up and I want to use the Hypertech just like I did on my other thirdgen. Also, there is no sign of a toggle or direct wire set up anywhere. This is a factory dual TPI fan setup Help!!!!

The ECM will turn the fan on at some temp, and when the A/C is on; that's why it still works. The one in the head is just a backup.
The wire is dark green, should come out of the wiring harness that comes up the inside of the pass side valve cover from rear to front.
