need a laugh?
being an owner of a 85 iroc (yeah shes a beauty) I had bought an tempo for the winter beater. To make a long story short, my friend I had let drive took it into a tree at about 6 mph and tore the front end a little.
My conclusion, working on a damn ford is useless. haha there are bolts that don't even belong (tearing the front end down to replace parts such as the light/grill unit, bumped $ radiator.)
Funny how I can take out my iroc engine by my lonesome in a easy day but can't tear apart a POS ford in 2 days of non-stop hard work.
Might be me, but I love my camaro, rock on chevy!

its the ford! we get them at work and every one runs
this is a pont. dealer and we do have several near by foed shops but, we just keep getting fords
I think they like giving us a hard time but, thats ok because when we do get parts from ford it gets marked up twice

Note to self: DON'T drive a Ford up US 43 on the way to Milwaukee.
Addendum: Don't stop at the dog track.
What am I saying? I don't even have a Ford to drive - lucky me!
And just to keep this technical, there must be a reason for all those pieces and fasteners. I know that Ford doesn't waste any money on parts that aren't essential, unless they are plastic parts.
And to be fair, your Escort might not be the best example of what Dearborn has to offer. It's a little like the Geo - just because it's sold out of the same building as a Corvette Z06 doesn't mean it has any similarity.

well I agree, everything has a use, however I will disagree when they make u take off front fenders to get to one bolt that holds the grill and light panel on. that is dumb considering there are another 6 to hold that 4 lb thing on (4 lb if that)
haha, anyway, the tempo has passed up its share of folks. It does have a massive victim list
p.s.- who cares if 10 out of 15 I had a long running go on
