RPM Tach fluctuating from 4800-5000.

I was wondering if this is a Tach problem or is the stock HEI giving out above 4800? It fluctuates crazy back and forth whenever it goes beyond 4800...

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt w/ 3.23's

sounds like a possible weak ignition at high rpms

I think it's best I stop climbing that high and figure out a way to hook up my Jacobs back. Thanks.
