Are the intake manafold bolt patterns on fuel injection heads (more specifically TBI) diffrent from carberation heads? Like can i bolt the intake from an LG4 onto heads from an LO3?

TBI manifolds incorporate the same bolt patterns as your intake manifolds for carburetors. So yes, that will work.

Actually the tbi heads have the center two holes on each side at a 72º angle.

I have heard of modifying the intake holes to make them work.

Correct, but so do the 87 LG4's,
Now there are 3 basic head to manifold bolt patterns. The pre 86, 87 to 95, and the Vortecs. Now It all depends on the combo your going for. The LG4 came with both the pre 86 intake and the latter in 87 with the upright 2 middle center bolt hole. If the intake is an 87 then the heads from the L03 will bolt right up (reverse that statement and It'll make more sense LOL). Anyway you see were I'm going with this. The L03 was started in 88 IIRC and replaced the carbureted 305 (LG4,82 to 87). So.... the LG4 intake will have to be an 87 to bolt right up. Personally though I would go with an aftermarket intake whether it be a Performer RPM or a Holley. I'm sure the factory manifold left much to be desired.
