Hard time starting car today....real strange

I was doing some work today under the hood with the coolant system and when I tried to start the car it wouldnt start. You could hear the engine turn but it wouldnt catch, and if it did seem to catch it would shut right off. I had to try it several times before I got it to start and when it did start the idle was real rough, but smoothed out in a few seconds. This happened 2 times. Then the third time I got in figuring it be a fight again but it started right up like there was no problems. I check the injectors (89 TBI camaro) and they were spraying fine. I made sure that all connections were connected and things were pluged in. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fuel problem to me. When you turn the car off, does fuel pressure bleed of quickly? Are the injectors leaking?

bleed off quickly? Do you mean after the car shuts off does some spray still come out of the injectors? I dont know I will check it out tommorow. The fuel pump is 2 years old and I recently ran a preasure guage on the fuel line, I was gettin 15 Pounds from the pump, and the injectors look to be firing and spraying ok

I mean does fuel drip from the injectors after the car is shut off, and not hold pressure for a good five minutes. If they are leaking after the car is off, and you prime the pump when the car starts, it could be flooding and making it difficult to start.
