Oil Pressure Gauge Sender Location
What is the best place to put the sender for a mechanical oil pressure gauge? I put mine in the front of the block above the timing chain cover, and I noticed that it is always reading a lower pressure then my stock gauge(sender is right above oil filter). Should I move the sender behind the intake or remove the stock one and put it there?
Also, I have noticed that there is not much oil in the tube that goes to the oil pressure gauge. There is a small amount right next to the block, but by the time the tube gets to the firewall there is little, if any, oil in the line. Is this a problem?
Thanks
Brady

I would say that the oil not building enough pressure to get to the guage would be a problem. Is the line kinked/blocked?
I would recommend going with the stock sender location.
Although, that may not be possible, as the stock sender is a kind of big diameter, and the new one may be smaller. Let us know.
