Able to use 2 bolt block for possible swap?
Is it a problem, because I'm going to pick my engine, and put in a new crate. Was curious to know if it matters if its 2 bolt or 4 bolt, and if it makes a difference. Thanks, Eric.

sure you can...it just depends on how much power you want to make, if your going to make upwards of 400hp i'd say get a 4 bolt main block or get the one you have machined for 4 bolt caps.
i'd worry more about having forged crank and a quality and propperly balanced rotating assembly long before i would a 4 bolt block. you ought to be good to well over 500hp with a 2 bolt and and a blueprinted crank.

yeah I missed something as I was re-reading your post ... if your getting one of those crate motors and want to make any real power with it make sure you get a good bottom end... i.e. forged crank/rods and get the crank balanced. I figure if your gonna be making at least 400 hp i'd go with 4 bolt caps... its cheap insurance man

im sure a 2-bolt would suit you fine unless youre making some sort of race-only car. id bet a 2-bolt would be fine even above 400 hp. they also are lighter than 4 bolt blocks.
