possible to remove the pass. side engine Acc. bracket?

I want to remove my A/C and have already taken the air pump off. I want to take the Acc. bracket off that side of the engine but what are my options for the belt tensioner? If I remove the PS pump then can I take both sides off and get an alt. bracktet that will position the alt in the right place and be able to set the tension on belt. Reason for doing this that they look stupid. I have pans on adding a HSR and dont want any stupid stuff on the engine. just the bare nessesities.

Well as long as you don't have huge tires on the front, then I would remove it all and get a aftermarket bracket for the alternator. The L98 in my Monte SS only has the alternator off the crank pulley I have a Mr Gasket electric motor running my water pump work great.. Don't mind the coolant everywhere..I blew the rad.

I removed the passenger side bracket and ran a short belt. Works fine so far. You can do a search if you need to know more.
