As cheap as possible...no $900 heads for me...cast iron heads is what Ill need
I need it to run well o pump gas and have a powr band from 1500-up

Im going with an Edelbrock 750cfm carb and the Performer Air Gap intake.

I need to know:
what heads and/or chamber size I will need
camshaft
pistons
hell...anything else...

 

for cheap heads you shold get a set of 416 305 ho heads and port them out, you can get them to flow 195cc and 110 ex cc.... my friend has a set...instant message me on aim if you want them.... they are 58 cc..... then get some pistons (hyperutectic) that will yeild no more than 10:1 comp.....nice forged rods.. cast crank....the intake is good.... a comp 268 or 262 xtreme energy cam would be good.... 1.6 rockers...... but get rid of the edelbrock carb... go holley... if you want gas mileage... get a carb with vaccuum secondaries

 

Ive seen a few sets of the 202/160 camel humps going for like $200 lately..i thought maybe add some nice rockers to those...hmmm

Aint gonna get rid of the carb though....me no like the holley

dont let them talk you out of that edelbrock carb!!!!! i have a 600 edelbrock on my 305 and absolutely love it. i drive it 60 miles a day back and forth to work, works great last a long time. and i dont have to be under the hood adjusting it all the time. the 350 i am putting in will have a 750 edelbrock on it regardless of what i hear about the edelbrock holley debate
